VIEW EAST

Daren and Bridgit Day (nee Diprose) are both passionate about New Zealand and its beautiful landscapes. Both are particularly drawn to the coastlines, beaches and outer islands, inherited from the typical kiwi family summer holidays.

"2001 was the first year of planting the vineyard. We opened our cellar door and tasting room, known as ‘the taster’ on Labour Weekend 2008. The name, view east, came about for two reasons. It was a photograph of this view to the east in the newspaper that identified this property for sale and one of the reasons we fell in love with this place. The second reason was later research of historical writings of the area in which the early settlers identified the view when approaching the T-intersection and turning left onto Cowes Bay Road as view east. This is one of the special areas of the Hauraki Gulf and Waiheke which we wish to share with those visiting view east."
